Stage 2, now the biggest youth theatre in Birmingham, offers youth theatre and related activities to young people, without auditions, on a totally inclusive basis, including those with learning difficulties and behavioural problems. Director Liz Light and her team, with the help of volunteers, stage at least 3 stage productions a year to fantastic critical acclaim, and back these up with valuable training and mentoring of its young people. Stage 2 is totally committed to equality of opportunity, and has a well deserved reputation for allowing its young people to achieve their full potential and fulfil their dreams.
how do they do it?
the excellent productions are just a tip of a great iceberg. talk about stronger communities, well-being and all those agenda...stage 2 grows citizens of a world I want to live in.
Stage 2 / Liz Light Inspirational
Nearly 20 years ago, I was involved as a Company Member of Stage 2. I can honestly say that the skills I picked up there have stood me in great stead until this day and even now I attribute much of my confidence to the guidance of Liz Light.
Stage 2 is inclusive, supporting young people of all abilities and Liz is an inspirational woman who I will always have a lifelong respect and admiration for.

Stage 2 consistently produces produations of a very high standard, and provides excellent opportunities to learn all aspects of theatre. It's good fun too!
